3. New Version of Our Associate Degree in Nursing Program

Anamarc College is happy to inform those of you considering admissions into the Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) program at our Santa Teresa Campus as of 1/5/2012, we now offer a five semester version of the program. This version extends the program from 4 semesters to 5 and allows for a lighter course load in semester 1 and 2. Those of you who were hesitant to enter the program may want to reconsider.

This option is ideal if you intend on working while attending the RN program. This is also a good choice for those of you who have never attended any other college or university and who will have to take all the general education courses as part of the program. This will allow you to ease into general education "basic" courses at a slower pace giving an optimal opportunity to succeed.

4. Associate Degree in Nursing Program (Hybrid Program)

Anamarc College realizes that many LPNs and LVNs have the desire to continue their educational journey and bridge into an RN program. We also recognize that once you enter the workforce as a nurse, income is a necessity and attending a traditional nursing program does not really fit into the work schedule. With you in mind, Anamarc College has developed the Associate Degree in Nursing Program as a hybrid program (face-to-face classes supplemented with online assignments). This program is located on our main campus in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

The hybrid program accepts general education credits from other accredited universities and colleges with an evaluation of transcripts, provides face-to-face classes every week and gives students the flexibility of online assignments that reduces time on campus to no more than 2 days per week. The hybrid program allows the LPN/LVN to complete the RN bridge program and be ready to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam. Courses include Pathophysiology, Mental Health and Community Nursing and Medical-Surgical Nursing in the acute care setting.

The ad erroneously states that our Occupational Therapy Assistant Program is ten months long. That program is 18 months long. Please refer the full course description available at OTA Program.

6. Park Day 2011

Each year the nursing department hosts their student social known as Park Day. This event is designed to allow students the opportunity to socialize, mingle and network with other individuals going through the same program and facing many of the same challenges.
