Mission Statement
The mission of Anamarc College is to prepare learners
for a diverse competitive workforce in the Upper Rio Grande Region
with high levels of educational excellence.
History
Anamarc was founded by Ana Maria Piña Houde, PhD, and her husband Marc Houde. The history of Anamarc Educational Institute began
long before its actual doors opened on April 3, 2000. It began with a vision of incorporating basic skills training and the necessary
educational elements for developing a new kind of skilled employee. The closure of numerous manufacturing industries in El Paso, Texas,
coupled with the growing demand for professionals in the information, service, and healthcare industries motivated the founders to develop
an educational model to serve these needs.
Today, Anamarc is a fully accredited college which has expanded its program
offerings from diploma programs in the areas of medical assistant, medical billing and
coding, administrative assistant, phlebotomy technician, nursing assistant, and vocational
nurse to associate degree in business management and associate degree in nursing to help
graduates become registered nurses (RN). Anamarc strongly believes in graduating individuals
in occupations that are in high demand and will remain sustainable in the job market. Such is
the case for all of the healthcare occupations offered. Currently, graduation rate is
approximately 83% and job placement rate is 90%. An estimated of 2500 professionals have graduated from our programs.
Anamarc College is also a family owned and operated business with Dr. Piña Houde as Chief Executive Officer
and husband Marc Houde as Chief Financial Officer of the corporation. Together they share the vision,
unify strengths, and strive for excellence for the El Paso Community and look forward to the continued preservation,
renewal and reinvestment of the core strengths of Anamarc College.
